Booking
Completion of our online booking form or an email with your chosen tour details will provisionally hold that tour and date for you.
Once I have received your booking request I will email you an invoice for 25% of the total tour price. This should be paid as soon as possible to secure your date and also that I can book tickets and transport if necessary. If we do not receive your deposit payment within 7 days we will issue a reminder invoice. If that invoice remains unpaid after a further 7 days your booking will be cancelled.
Please be aware that it may be necessary to change the order of the published itinerary to avoid crowds, or fit with any timed components.
A balancing invoice will be emailed about a week before your tour date. Payment should be made prior to the tour start date if paying electronically or at the beginning of the tour if paying by cash.
Shortly before your chosen tour date we will email you with full details of our meeting point and your chosen itinerary if this has not been sent earlier. Where appropriate we will offer advice regarding clothing, footwear etc.
Changes
As detailed above, it may be necessary to book a timed visit with the English Heritage site of your tour, particularly during Summer months. If a timed visit has been booked, English Heritage do not allow for changes.
If you need to add people to your tour this will only be possible if timed visits have not been booked.
If you wish to remove people we will amend the total price if it falls in a different price band but will be unable to refund any monies already paid to English Heritage.
If you wish to change date of your tour, this can be done subject to availability and may incur an additional payment to cover the cost of re-booking entry to that site.
Cancellation
By the Client – If you need to cancel your tour for any reason the 25% deposit will be forfeited.
By your tour guide – although very rare, a tour may have to be cancelled if your tour guide is ill or incapacitated. In this unlikely event all money paid will be refunded.
By government restrictions/English Heritage – all money will be refunded.
