Complete Tour and Pevensey Tour

Starting Point

Our Complete and Pevensey Tours both start at the seats close to the East Gate entrance to Pevensey Castle next to the Castle car park if you are arriving by car. If you are arriving by train you will be met at the train station.

Pevensey Meeting Point

Directions

By car

From the West – follow the A27 Pevensey by-Pass to the roundabout that sits at the junction of the A259 and A27. Take the fourth exit (A259). At the traffic lights go straight across into Pevensey High Street. You will see the castle in front of you and there is a pay and display carpark beside the castle.

From the East – follow the A259 to the roundabout that sits at the junction of the A259 and A27 then follow the instructions above.

By rail –

Pevensey and Westham station is located about 200 metres from our meeting point and has good links to London Victoria, London Bridge, Brighton and Hastings. If you are travelling by train, we will meet at the station rather than the usual meeting place.

For those taking the Complete tour and wishing to return home by train, Battle station also has good links to London Victoria, London Bridge, Brighton, Hastings and Ashford International station. 

Travelling to Pevensey and Westham station is about 1 hr 45 mins from London, 1 hr from Brighton and 30 mins from Hastings. 

 

Battle Tour

Starting Point

Our Battle Tour starts at the entrance to Battle Abbey if you are arriving by car – there is a pay and display car park next to the Abbey. If you are arriving by train you will be met at the exit to Battle train station.

Directions

By car

From Hastings – follow the A21 north to Silverhill then take the B2159 until you come to a roundabout. Take the second exit exit onto the A2100 and follow the road to Battle. The Abbey entrance is clearly signposted.

From the London – follow the A21 south to John’s Cross then take the A2100 to Battle.

Pay and Display parking is available at Battle Abbey, Mount Street carpark or at Battle Station.

By rail –

Battle station is located about 500 metres from the Abbey and has good links to London Bridge, Brighton and Hastings. If you are travelling by train, you will be met at the exit to the station.

Travelling time to Battle station is about 1 hr 15 mins from London Bridge, 1 hr 40 mins from Brighton and 20 mins from Hastings.
